Windows
This painting was made during Covid, in which I needed to get out of my home. Painting has always been a form of escapism for me. The surreal window floating in the sky is my way of communicating metaphorically. Clearly, I wanted to enter another world; another headspace that was less cluttered and more open to possibility. The view is of Lake Michigan from Evanston. The window is from a photograph that I took on a sunny day when I was walking in Milan.
